CITY FUNK remix of Yuji Ohno's mellow soul "Fairy Night feat. Sonia Rosa", the ending theme for the anime "Lupin the Third Part III" (1984), sung by Sonia Rosa!
It will be released as a 7-inch single in 2024, which will be the 40th anniversary of the original release!
Side A includes up-and-coming DJ TARO's CITY FUNK remix. Side B includes the 1984 original version by Yuji Ohno!
A rare album where you can enjoy Sonia Rosa's sweet baby voice with both original and current sounds.
■DJ TARO
Has been in charge of J-WAVE's program navigator and music selector for 25 years. Armed with over 30 years of DJ experience and a wealth of music knowledge from all eras,
he is a sound producer who actively works on remixes for major artists both domestically and internationally.
In 2021, he launched the 80s-90s Project in collaboration with Polish DJ/producer Flamingo Cartel, and has been releasing songs at a pace of about one piece a month.
In March 2024, the mix CD ""CITY FUNK -Twilight- mixed by DJ TARO of Rhythm & Groove"" will be released.
His mother is Sonia Rosa, a bossa nova singer who was active in Japan.
