Leeds top Brazilian music promoters/DJs Fabio Bahia and DJ Lubi are back at Belgrave Music Hall on Friday February 20th 2026 with their annual Brazil Carnival Party - live music, DJs and samba dancers.
Gustavo Andrade & The Brasukas are the best Brazilian band in the north. They’ve sold out shows at Blues Kitchen Manchester, Peggy's Skylight Nottingham, Brudenell Leeds, Cobalt Studios Newcastle, and The Jazz Bar Edinburgh.
They play carnival songs and rhythms from across Brazil with special guests joining them onstage - Portuguese vocalist Maya Blandy, Brazilian singer Beatriz Rodrigues (Bacana Manchester), and Newcastle percussionist Nik Alevroyiannis (DrumDin/Banda Zuêra). Also, Samba Passista/Samba No Pé dancer and teacher Alé (Samba With Alé) will be dancing onstage with The Brasukas.
The Brazukas, led by Sao Paulo saxophonist Gustavo Andrade, perform the full spectrum of Brazilian music - Samba, MPB (Música Popular Brasileiro), Samba Rock, Axé, Forró, Brazilian soul, Frevo. They play classic Brazilian music by artists such as Leci Brandao, Seu Jorge, Jorge Ben, Ivete Sangalo, Tim Maia, Sonia Santos, Tom Jobim, Gilberto Gil, Ed Motta, Alcione and Djavan.
DJs on the night are Fabio Bahia, the top Brazilian DJ in the north, who is celebrating his 30th anniversary as a DJ in 2026! He’s supported by Leeds world music legend DJ Lubi. They’ll be playing pagode, samba, forró, MPB, axé, baile funk and samba house from 8pm to 2am.
