8.30pm Daniel God Damn Byron
Daniel ‘God Damn’ Byrom, or DGDB for short, is the solo project of Wild Cat Strike frontman Danny, with comparisons ranging from mid-nineties lo-fi artists Neutral Milk Hotel, Daniel Johnston, Sparklehorse to modern contemporaries such as (Sandy) Alex G and Phoebe Bridgers; DGDB has carved out a style that’s as timeless as it is new, mixing richly unique and imaginative lyricism with faithfully honest delivery, the songs come across like forgotten classics.
The past year he has been busy finishing writing his next release; 'Get Happy, Get Sad'. His plan is to expand my sonic universe out of my bedroom and 8 track tape recorder, but not too far. You can listen to his two amazing EPs here.

9.15pm Cowgirl
Built around chief songwriters Danny Trew Barton (vocals/guitar) and Sam Coates (vocals/guitar), Cowgirl is completed by Tom Robinson (ZoZo) and Jack Holdstock (The Federals). Cowgirl provide a conveyor-belt of future classics; their well-crafted melodies wrapped in walls of wailing guitar fuzz. Running the gamut of garage rock to power pop, Cowgirl's music shimmers with an inherent pop shine.
They have released 13 tracks over the last 2 years, including 'Wasn't Listening' which was included on Long Division Festival's New Addition Vol.212". They followed this run of singles with their debut album, released digitally in Summer 2021 (physical vinyl release due early 2022 on Safe Suburban Home) which makes good on all the promise of their previous output. After a turbulent couple of years, the band is anxious to play live again and with the addition of this new release they have a set-list that has no need for filler. Cowgirl keep proving they have the ability to write instant classics, the world just needs to hear them now. Listen to their releases to date here.
