Crywank started in 2009 the same day songwriter Jay first picked up an acoustic guitar and started making simple lo-fi songs. Over 16 years they’ve gone from self-releasing scrappy self-recorded diy songs to releasing eight albums, touring the world and (unofficially) breaking the record for the most cities performed in one day (16).
Crywank return to Brudenell Social Club with friends for a special Christmas show. With past tour buddies end emo pop-icons Johnny Foreigner, viral sensation and Los camp multi instrumentalist Sparky Deathcap, London rock supergroup (fronted by the original Dream Nails vocalist and featuring members of Petrol Girls, itoldyouiwouldeatyou and Colour me Wednesday) Yakkie on their first northern show.
British Asian artist and protest singer Kapil Seshasayee brings his distinctive Indian Classical guitar style to his first ever Brudenell show, and some sticky oozey Yorkshire punk comes from locals Suckle.
Leeds legends Lots of Hands are also returning after their first USA tour as our special guests, for a set earlier in the day of dreamy indie rock in support of their new album ‘Into A Pretty Room
