Tracked over three weeks in a converted barn near Alabama's Mobile Bay, Crowd Pleaser brings together a patchwork of trusted friends and collaborators, with songs that lean into the raw edges of disappointment, doubt, and self-discovery. Across ten tracks, Mayfield draws from the tradition of incisive Southern storytellers and country-rock bands unafraid to push boundaries. His songs wrestle with the hypocrisies of his upbringing, the unraveling of old beliefs, and unexpected moments of clarity.
