Y Dydd Olaf; which is sung entirely in Welsh apart from one song penned in Cornish, draws inspiration from Owain Owain's 1976 novel of the same name. The book is set in a dystopian future where robots enslave the human race through the use of
medication, while Gwenno's LP covers such themes as patriarchal society, government-funded media propaganda, cultural control, technology, isolation and the importance of minority languages.
