Cool and groovy. A jazz-funk album by a master guitarist, rising with style and sensuality.
Kiyoshi Sugimoto turned professional in 1960 and went on to play an active role in numerous sessions and recordings, firmly
establishing his status with leader albums such as "Country Dream" and "Babylonia Wind." This work was recorded shortly after he
returned from roughly one year of study in the United States, together with Akira Ishikawa, Hiromasa Suzuki, Shuichi Murakami, Akira
Okazawa, Takao Uematsu, and others. Including the groovy and glossy "Our Time" and "Marmalade Sky," "Jones Street," with its
mysterious keyboards flying through the track, and the melancholic and beautiful "Quiet Pulse," composed and arranged by Hiromasa
Suzuki, this album features a lineup of appealing tracks that sit somewhere between jazz rock and fusion. It is one of Sugimoto’s
representative works from the mid-1970s.
