CROMLECH’s second album Of Owls and Eels is a striking Black Metal release created by Impurus, a veteran musician active since the 1990s and known for his work with DIES ATER, CRYOGENIC and ALBEZ DUZ. Though rooted in cold Black Metal, the album boldly transcends genre conventions, blending harsh riffs and powerful drumming with eerie keyboards and surreal, dreamlike atmospheres. Dynamic, unpredictable and deeply atmospheric, the seven tracks balance brutality, melancholy and quiet reverie. The result is a dense, authentic work that defies the usual limits of solo Black Metal projects and confirms Germany’s enduring strength in the genre.
