Before rocketing up the charts with Space Oddity and sending himself into the stratosphere as the alien glam-rock god Ziggy Stardust, in the mid-60s David Bowie tried his hand at old-school rhythm'n'blues, mod-styled pop and even vaudeville tunes. Now collectors' items, these early outings capture a fascinating period in Bowie's career, during which he sought to find his voice - and his look - while shifting styles with the same rapid pace that would cement his legacy.
