Mocky’s new album - and first on Stones Throw - ‘Music Will Explain (Choir Music Vol. 1)’ is centred around the human voice and attempts to capture the essence of humanity in an increasingly digital and artificial world.
Mocky invited friends and collaborators to crowd around a microphone in his garage, creating a deliberate mixture of human harmonies, live instruments and analogue recordings only humans could make.
Mocky recently released his Dusty Springfield cover, ‘Just a Little Lovin’’, along with a Peanut Butter Wolf Remix featuring The Koreatown Oddity.
Compelling visuals throughout the campaign, including a mockumentary, live performances and music videos. His fingerprints can be found across a vast range of artists’ music - he’s produced for Feist, Kelela, Moses Sumney and Vulfpeck, and has been sampled by the likes of GZA, Kanye West and Cordae
