Returning on not only blue audiophile LP, but\u003cbr\u003ealso CD and digital formats, the celebratory release brings back into circulation a singular record\u003cbr\u003efrom the same fertile ecosystem that produced Super Furry Animals and has long been\u003cbr\u003eestablished as a vital, if undercelebrated chapter of Welsh music folklore.\u003cbr\u003eAcid Casuals was born in 1994 and remains a loose Cardiff community of musicians, artists and\u003cbr\u003efriends, with Furries synths wrangler, Cian Ciarán, former Big Leaves bassist, Kev Tame and\u003cbr\u003emusician and actor, Llyr Evans at its original centre. Never conceived as a conventional band, both\u003cbr\u003ethe collective’s nucleic performers and those with walk-on parts dipped in and out when time\u003cbr\u003eallowed. As time passed, ideas accumulated, tours and albums came and went, the Acid Casuals\u003cbr\u003eidentity remained deliberately fluid.\u003cbr\u003eReleased in 2006, Omni arrived in the curious space between the Super Furry Animals albums,\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLove Kraft and Hey Venus! and came to be emblematic, amongst its informed listeners, of that\u003cbr\u003esame adventurous musical outlook. Its ten tracks move freely between electronic abstraction,\u003cbr\u003eambient melody, skewed pop, vocal experimentation and the kind of psychedelic songcraft that had\u003cbr\u003ebecome second nature and further developed.
