In A Freezer sees acclaimed composer and producer Alex Somers (best known for his work with Sigur Rós, and for his
prolific film and TV work) join forces with the London Contemporary Orchestra to create his third solo album.
Recorded in an abandoned industrial freezer in London in July 2019, the whole album has a 12.4 second reverb
decay, which gives a beautiful and expansive sound. Conducted by Robert Ames, the London Contemporary
Orchestra adds a grandeur to the minimal recording.
Pressed on opaque white bio vinyl, with artwork designed by Somers’ longtime collaborator Scott Alario, In A Freezer
is a must-have for collectors of contemporary classical and ambient soundscapes.
