Originally released in 1986, ‘True Confessions’ captured Bananarama atthe height of their global success, blending their infectious pop hooks with the sleek production of Jolley & Swain and the newly discovered dancefloor energy of Stock Aitken Waterman.
Featuring the international hit ‘Venus’ (Top Ten in 20 countries, Number One in six countries including the US Billboard Top 100) alongside fan favourites including ‘More Than Physical’, ‘Do Not Disturb’ and ‘A Trick ofthe Night,’ the album remains one of the defining releases of the 1980s.
‘True Confessions’ saw Bananarama’s transformation from DIY ingenuesto MTV superstars. It would begin their imperial phase of peerless hit singles and introduction into the Guinness Book of Records for the highest number of chart entries for an all-female group.
The 3CD edition features the original album with B-Sides and bonus cuts, a disc of the full 1986 remixes and a third disc of 2026 remixes and rarities,including four new 2026 remixes and previously unreleased remixes.
The single CD includes the original album, plus six bonus tracks including B-Sides and two extended versions.
The single LP is the first time ever for a Bananarama album to bepresented on picture disc.
The 2LP edition presents the album on double vinyl for the very first time.LP1 is a new master of the original album, with LP2 featuring remixes of‘Venus’ and ‘More Than Physical’. There are three new 2026 remixesalongside two remixes never before released on vinyl.
