40th anniversary reissue of legendary Canadian /American singer, composer and transgender activistBeverly Glenn-Copeland’s seminal work. An ahead-of-itstime synth exploration which somehow combines theessence of new-age minimalism, early Detroit techno andthe warmth of traditional songwriting.
His third album, ‘Keyboard Fantasies’, was originally selfreleased on cassette in 1986. Initially overlooked bymainstream media, it caught the ear of a Japanesecollector who contacted the artist in 2015 and asked forcopies to sell. These sold out instantly and led to morecopies being distributed and multiple offers from recordlabels
This reissue features exclusive new artwork in a differentcolour palette and includes liner notes written by Robyn(as per the previous reissue). This is only the third time thealbum has been repressed (as limited as the previousrepresses).
Alongside the 40th anniversary reissue, ‘Light Of TheHeavens’, a recently discovered recording from that era isavailable as a physical offering for the first time in a limited7” run.
Recent performances include a transportative set atPrimavera Sound, as well as a stunning rendition withElizabeth of their song ‘Harbour’ on ‘Later... with JoolsHolland’. Glenn and Elizabeth performed across Europeanfestivals this Summer, including Harry Styles’ MeltdownFestival via personal invitation from the artist himself. In2027 they perform three nights across Canada, celebrating ‘40 Years of Keyboard Fantasies: The Music ofBeverly Glenn-Copeland’.
