Since emerging from Sydney, Australia in 2012, Marc Dwyer's Buzz Kull has carved out a singular space within the global underground, an artist whose sound operates at the intersection of darkwave, minimal synth, and industrial dance music. Across more than a decade of relentless evolution, Dwyer has refined a vision that transcends genre: a fusion of pop precision and spectral emotional gravity, where melody and menace coexist in uneasy harmony.
Buzz Kull’s music conjures the psychic terrain of late-night streets and flickering club strobes, a shadowplay of unnerving synth lines, downcast drum machines, and devotional hooks that feel at once intimate and apocalyptic. His work stands as a modern continuation of the lineage defined by Black Celebration era Depeche Mode and the militant body rhythms of Front 242, reimagined through a modern lens and tours in direct support of Cold Cave, Boy Harsher and Molchat Doma.
With Deep Hate, Dwyer delivers his most visceral and refined work to date. These four new tracks are a ferocious suite of industrial pop anthems, relentless and propulsive, yet steeped in an atmosphere of detachment and longing. Each song embodies the downtown pulse of the modern nocturne, for the margins, for the heart still beating in the void.
His first material since 2022, Deep Hate is out Feb 13, 2026 via Heartworm Press. The CD and Digital version will include remixes by PIG, Kontravoid, Cold Cave and Spike Hellis.
