A limited edition pressing of our third album, 'Serenity Now' is now
available
In keeping with our previous releases, this vinyl is made from recycled vinyl and
each pressing is guaranteed to be its own unique colour - so no one product is
the same. Once again, we entrusted our friend and collaborator Mike Roth to
create the beautiful artwork to house this wonderful body of work.
Serenity Now is a very special record for us, it was the frst new music we'd
written together for 3 years and with that reconnection came all the growth and
change we'd gone through as individuals. We can't wait to share it with you.

'Makeweight' is the fnal single from Hailaker's 3rd album, 'Serenity, Now'. With
angelic harmonies in its introduction and layered percussion it will have you
hitting repeat. 'Melodically rich and sonically euphoric, it often feels like a new
journey with an old friend; a harnessing of strengths to create something far
greater than the sum of its parts' says band.
Creatively, the band have been booked to flm two tracks with video power-house
Mahogany and have recorded a wonderful music video for M3 which is to be
premiered this June. The band have also recently SOLD OUT two shows in the UK
in less than a week, meaning the venues for both were recently upgraded to
foster further capacity.
"Working with Ali for this record was really eye opening, and defnitely reshaped
the record massively from both what it would've been, and anything we've done
before," Tullett says, refecting on that alliance. "I think it's a lot more ambitious
and expansive, which was our original plan for LP3, but also easier to do with
such a storied producer."
It's always hard to write about individual songs, we write them, we're in them,
we're not really thinking too much about what they're about, at least most of the
time. Whenever I'm asked to write anything about them I don't really know what to
say, to pull something out from how it was written, some random nugget that
might support some narrative that someone could spin on it. You can't really
describe what a song sounds like with words, 'if you wanna know about the
song.. go listen to it', I think.
But I'm realising there is a theme throughout the whole project, or more like a
personality to it. It's that of someone who sits somewhere in the middle of things,
is unenthusiastic about doing anything, feels as though their life is hurtling past
them and they can't catch up with it, slightly and often overwhelmed with
insecurity. Maybe what we draw from is just snippets from that life and that
personality, relationships, dreams, memories, tiredness, and lots of tiredness. CoStar is a mantra to that life, the keeping going, the constant fow, the riding of
emotions. It expresses something close to a taoist philosophy: 'it is what it is'.
That maybe all this feeling of not being good enough just comes down to
accepting and moving on and in that way pinpoints the shift from the stories told
in our previous record Holding to the ones of Serenity Now.
