This album saw the band move to new heights merging their slowcore, post-rock and folk influences with intricate, atmospheric IDM production and abstract rap from cLOUDdEAD's Dose-One and Why?
It’s as innovative as it is catchy and sounds like nothing else. The mixture of organic acoustic and angular electronic instrumentation has seen this album gain a new cult following in recent years, and you can hear its influence across a whole range of contemporary artists, from Bar Italia to Claire Rousay, More Eaze and Chanel Beads.
This reissue features a booklet with a new extended interview between Simon Reynolds and the band alongside archival imagery and photos.
The album is pressed on audiophile double vinyl.
The digital and CD versions will collate extra b-sides and early recordings, including a digital-only radio session recorded in 2002 for BBC Radio 3.
