Lucky Dube - House Of Exile (35th Anniversary Edition) *Pre-Order

Release Date Friday 11th December 2026
All pre-orders will be dispatched/made ready for collection on that day.

Honouring the enduring power and spirit of a true reggae icon, SAMP Records proudly presents the 35th Anniversary remastered vinyl edition of Lucky Dube’s landmark 1991 album, House Of Exile.
Originally released to multi-platinum international success, House Of Exile came out in a turbulent era, three years before South Africa would achieve democracy. The album served as a soundtrack to continental resistance as Lucky Dube's sharp political commentary gave voice to the exiled and displaced, directly confronting the realities of the Group Areas Act while offering a poignant cautionary tale about the true nature of freedom as the structural cracks in apartheid began to show.
Lovingly remastered from original master tapes by veteran engineer Peter Pearlson, this release is pressed on special edition 'Roots Green' vinyl and pays tribute to the profound legacy of one of South Africa’s greatest reggae recordings.
