The first MuchaMuchaM album, which includes the mellow Taiwanese breakthrough “Bing Long Moon” played by DJ KOCO aka SHIMOKITA,

is now available on long-awaited LP! The fourth release from Fukuoka's indie soul label Special 10 Records!

Fukuoka-based Asian exotic band MuchaMuchaM has unveiled its first album in March 2024 with the release of a 7inch and an album for distribution.

Their new album, “Qantikala,” has been attracting attention not only in Japan but also overseas. The balance between mellow songs derived from traditional Japanese

and Asian music, such as A6 by Asariya Yuntakaver, and the inverted modernity of dance songs such as A-3 and B-1, which are also popular in live performances,

confirms the completeness of the work, which makes it hard to believe that this is their first album.

Although all the songs are instrumental, the guitar tone with a “singing heart” evokes a sense of nostalgia, and at times takes us to the seaside of Okinawa,

and at other times to the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Sometimes it takes you to the seaside of Okinawa, sometimes to the hustle and bustle of Bangkok,

and sometimes to the jungles of Malaya. At other times, it transports the listener to the jungles of Malay Island.

The analog remastering by Shogo Sato, who presides over MuchaMuchaM, and the illustrations on the front and back of the jacket by Fukuoka-based illustrator

TOYAMEG are also worthy of note.
