PG.LOST is a Swedish band of many directions. Their sound is throbbing with great melancholy, but there is also a healthy dose of dirty, crushing rock n’ roll in it – something you will be hard-pressed to find in the ever-growing mass of post rock pabulum.
Hailing from the city of Norrköping in east Sweden, PG.LOST are a post-rock collective who have described their sounds as “Swedish experimental instrumentalism”. In contrast to the largely swamping, unwavering soundscapes of contemporaries such as This Will Destroy You and Explosions In The Sky, the band’s sound is anchored by confrontational riffs and bombastic percussion, transcending the vast melancholy ambience mastered by other outfits within the genre.
In 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, we saw two releases by PG.LOST. First a remastered version of their debut release ”Yes I Am” including a live recording of the same songs from the highly praised performance at Östgötateatern in Norrköping in 2017.
Second was the long awaited album ”Oscillate”, the bands sixth ”full-length” and their first in four years. A natural progress of their sound but without losing their core. ”Sovereign in execution and mammoth in scope, Oscillate is ten tracks of pure dramatic bombast and a massive step forward for the decades-old band.”
