Roy Porter, who has been active in the US jazz scene for many years as a member of Charlie Parker's band, recorded "Inner Feelings" and "Jessica" with his
band Sound Machine in the 1970s, and they are renowned as rare groove classics. In 1994, Roy Porter replaced some of the members of Sound Machine and
added the name "'94" to the band's name, and reassembled the two albums into this new album, "Generation"!　

Starting with "Generation" (M1), which features a rapper and retains the texture and groove of the 70's, "Mr. R.P. & Me (Vocal)" (M2), a poetry reading of the
killer funk "Panama" that has been used as a sampling source in many songs, is followed by "Generation" (M3), which features a rapper and a vocalist. (Vocal)"
(M2), which is a crossover of jazz and hip-hop unique to the 90s, and "Slaughterhouse" (M5), which features rap on "Party Time," also known as a sampling source!　
This historical masterpiece, which embodies the fusion of jazz and hip-hop that Robert Glasper and others have demonstrated since the 2010s, was released
20 years ago, and is now revived with new specifications!
