A limited-edition Japanese vinyl release of the original soundtrack to "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back" is coming.
This reissue features the original Japanese jacket design and obi strip, and will be pressed on color vinyl.
This is the original soundtrack to "Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back" (directed by Irvin Kershner), released in Japan
in June 1980.
Music is composed by John Williams. This album marks the first appearance of "The Imperial March (Darth Vader's Theme)" and
"Yoda's Theme",
and is packed with classics such as "The Asteroid Field", "Han Solo and the Princess", and "The Magic Tree".
Audio sources are based on the 1980 soundtrack, remastered by Shawn Murphy and Skywalker Sound, using the 192kHz/24bit
master released in 2018.
