Romantic masterpieces from Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes featuring Teddy Pendergrass and The Delfonics follow alongside smooth harmonies from The Stylistics and The Three Degrees. Motown legends the Four Tops, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles and the Jackson 5 sit beside American favourites including from Gladys Knight & The Pips, Percy Sledge and Sam & Dave. The disc closes with a trio of sophisticated performances from Jimmy Ruffin, Erma Franklin and Dinah Washington with ‘Mad About The Boy’.
