 Willie Colón and Héctor Lavoe's first-ever gold-selling record released on Fania in 1969. Thanks to the hits “Che Che Colé”, “Juana Peña,” “Te Conozco” and the bolero “Ausencia,” with Cosa Nuestra (Our Thing) Willie and Héctor achieved the most sold LPs in their then nascent record career. Fans eagerly awaited the next album, and with La Gran Fuga (“The Big Break”), released the following year, they continued their course to conquering the salsa universe.

 Willie Colón and Héctor Lavoe’s first gold-selling release for Fania arrived in 1969. Driven by standout tracks largely written by the duo — including “Ché Ché Colé,” “Juana Peña,” “Te Conozco,” and the bolero “Ausencia” — Cosa Nuestra became their breakthrough album and a cornerstone of Latin music history. In 2024, Rolling Stone named it one of the 50 Greatest Salsa Albums of All Time. This remastered edition is pressed on 180-gram vinyl with AAA lacquers cut from the original master tapes.
