With the BRIT awards coming up, here's what we've been spinning from this year's nominees! Looking at some of the essentials, the dark horses and the records we think you should be taking home with or without an award!
The Essentials:
Artist: Olivia Dean
Album: The Art Of Loving
Nominated For: Album Of The Year / Artist Of The Year / Song Of The Year / Pop Act
It wasn't so long ago that Olivia Dean was promoting her first album and playing an instore with us... Then to the Brudenell and last year we we're treated to two sold out shows at The Wardrobe for 'The Art Of Loving'. I think it's safe to say she has won over the country and who doesn't just vibe to those souly sounds!
Artist: Lily Allen
Album: West End Girl
Nominated For: Album Of The Year / Artist Of The Year / Pop Act
What a year for Lily Allen, she came back with a bang and with an album that took over the airways and fueled a load of gossip. One lesson to learn from this album is don't mess with Lily Allen and boys... don't claim to have a Dojo.
Artist: Wolf Alice
Album: The Clearing
Nominated For: Album Of The Year / Group Of The Year / Alternative/Rock Act
Big Big album from Wolf Alice its ambitious and emotional, full of sing-a-long festival anthems and one we keep going back and hitting play on.
Artist: Sam Fender
Album: People Watching
Nominated For: Album Of The Year / Artist Of The Year / Song Of The Year / Alternative/Rock Act
The rallying of the Geordie army continues, big songs, big guitars and a massive personality! Sam swept up at the mercury awards and he keeps on delivering album after album!
The Dark Horses:

Artist: Myles Smith
Album: A Minute, A Moment
Nominated For: Song Of The Year
If you've been on TikTok at all this year you'll have heard Myles Smith for sure. His sad but hopeful vibes has got everyone rooting for him.
Artist: Rosalia
Album: Lux
Nominated For: International Artist Of The Year
A mix of flamenco roots, experimental production and straight up pop hooks without feeling messy. It shouldn't work on paper but it absolutely does. Rosalia is taking over the world not just the BRITs.
Artist: Sault
Album: Acts Of Fait
Nominated For: R&B Act
We love Sault at Crash, they're soulful, groovy and create that perfect atmosphere for those chilled evenings or lazy days.
Artist: Gigi Perez
Album: At The Beach, In Every Life
Nominated For: Song Of The Year
Gigi Perez feels genuinley unfiltered. There's no overproduction, no big pop gloss, just emotion that sounds honest and a little fragile. 'Sailor Song' has been popping up everywhere through 2025 and when you hear it, it's easy to understand why.
Artist: Barry Can't Swim
Album: Loner
Nominated For: Breakthrough Artist
Who didn't love the Barry Can't Swim album launch at Project House, it was popping off and just hit right. If you were there you know exactly what we mean. Check out the album!
Artist: Alex Warren
Album: You'll Be Alright, Kid
Nominated For: International Song Of The Year
Big, emotional songs that are made for turning up the volume and screaming away to. You get the sense he's figuring things out in real time and that's what makes him so likeable.
The Ones That Sound Big
Artist: Pulp
Album: More
Nominated For: Group Of The Year
Pulp are back and what a joy it is to have Jarvis and co. together again! The album was everything we wanted and we hope there will be 'More' to come soon!
Artist: Wet Leg
Album: Moisturizer
Nominated For: Group Of The Year / Alternative/Rock Act
Album number two was on repeat in the shop last year, it's full of wit and pure energy that keeps ringing around the venues they play.
Artist: Rose Gray
Album: Louder! Please!
Nominated For: Critics Choice
Rose Gray kicked off our instores last year and brought the party into the shop, big beats, bouncing sounds and keeps going from strength to strength, she's one to watch for sure.

Artist: Fred Again...
Album: 10 Days
Nominated For: Artist Of The Year / Song Of The Year / Dance Act
It seems like Fred Again... was all over 2025 again, big tunes, big collabs and he just knows how to get a room moving.
Artist: Tame Impala
Album: Deadbeat
Nominated For: International Group Of The Year
Kevin Parker came back with 'Deadbeat' in 2025 and it has that classic Tame Impala feel to it, big production, anthemic songs with a whistfulness to them and some classic iconic riffs.
The Ones Flying Out The Racks
Artist: Geese
Album: Getting Killed
Nominated For: International Group Of The Year
It's been literally flying out the racks everytime we get it in and we 100% know why, its raw, loud and just top notch. If you haven't heard it yet you need to for sure.
Artist: CMAT
Album: Euro-Country
Nominated For: International Artist Of The Year
We can't keep this one in stock long enough usually, CMAT seems to have taken everyone by storm and has got everyone signing together, looking out for each other and just making sure we have a good ol' time.
Artsit: Turnstile
Album: Never Enough
Nominated For: International Group Of The Year
Everyones favourite hardcore band, they will have soundtracked so many peoples Summers last year and it'll happen again with that Piece Hall show too!
Artist: Sleep Token
Album: Even In Arcadia
Nominated For: Group Of The Year
One for the book-tok girlies for sure! Sleep Token are everywhere and anywhere, there songs are hitting the right spots for everyone and the album keeps on spinning for us.
Artist: Little Simz
Album: Lotus
Nominated For: Artist of The Year / HipHop/Grime/Rap Act
Made it to number 2 in the Crash Albums of the Year, but Little Simz knows how to write bars! She's taking UK rap to another level and leading the way in style.
It will all be happening in Manchester tomorrow night, who are your picks for the prizes!
