New releases, gigs and things happening in and around the shop.
February's shaping up nicely. Here's a quick round-up of some records we're excited to hear, gigs worth leaving the house for, and what's happening in and around Crash this month.
Albums we're excited about:

Mandy, Indiana - Urgh!
It seems everyone is pretty buzzed for this one, a blistering statement from one of the UK's most uncompramising underground acts. The Manchester-based duo known or fusing noise, electronics and visceral performance into something fierecly physical. Much of the album was written in the outskirts of Leeds before taking it to studios in Berlin and Manchester, capturing its restless, confrontational energy across cities.
Urgh sharpens their intensity into something even more focussed and volitile, pushing heir sound further into raw, abressive territoy while retaining the tension that they're known for.

Mitski - Nothing's About to Happen to Me
Mitski is back with a new release that quietly commands attention from the moment it begins. As one of the most influential songwriters of the past decade, Mitski has a rare ability to make the smallest emotional shifts feel enormous, and this album is no exception. There’s a slow-burn tension running through it, full of anticipation and unease, turning stillness into something charged and absorbing. It’s the kind of song that reminds you why her work has left such a lasting mark.

Gorillaz - The Mountain
They’re back. Murdoc, Noodle, Russel and 2D return with The Mountain, the ninth Gorillaz album, arriving with the confidence of a band that knows exactly who they are. Loose, sharp and effortlessly self-assured, The Mountain feels like Gorillaz in motion again; restless, curious and having fun with it. The record moves freely between moods and ideas, carrying that familiar sense of mischief and invention while still finding space to push forward. It’s a reminder that Gorillaz aren’t a nostalgia act... they’re still climbing.
Release Date: 27/02/26

Mariachi El Bronx - Mariachi El Bronx IV
A joyful, full-tilt reminder of how much heart and energy this project brings. While it might be their first release in 10 years, the spirit is as bold as ever: vivid horns, soaring melodies and songs that feel built to be shared loud. IV leans into the band’s love of classic mariachi while keeping their punk-rooted sense of fun front and centre, making it an easy entry point whether you’ve followed them for years or you’re discovering them for the first time. If you’re looking for something that feels alive, this is it.
Release Date: 13/02/26

Kim Gordon - Play Me
A sharp, stripped-back release that feels as fearless and forward-thinking as ever. Long known for rewriting the rules of what alternative music can sound and feel like, Gordon leans into tension and texture here, letting attitude and atmosphere do the heavy lifting. Play Me moves with a sense of control and curiosity, understated but unmistakably powerful, proving that Kim Gordon isn’t interested in legacy laps... she’s still pushing, still challenging, still setting the pace.
