January - Staff albums of the Month

2026 is starting with a bang!

Here's our staff picks for album of the month in January

Anna
Kid Kapichi - Fearless Nature
A solid fourth album of dark and melancholic rock from the Hastings duo. Reminiscent of Royal Blood or the heavier side of Arctic Monkeys, this is a more vulnerable and introspective record , dealing with mental health struggles and personal upheaval.

Scott
Megadeth - Megadeth
Classic Megadeth and one of the songs would be the great title song for a certain daytime gameshow...

Georgia
PVA - No More Like This
PVA's second album is a trip through chilled and expansive beats; it's emotive, danceable in places and totally captivating from start to finish.  The angular sounds, synths and ghostly vocals mix together in such an enticing way.

Joel
Yin Yin - Yatta!
A real mix of worldly influences and grooves set upon the backbone of unadulterated disco fun to bring some sunshine to a wintry January.

Paul
Craven Faults - Sidings
Yorkshire's modular synth mystery man returns with another sublime LP of ever evolving atmospheric & evocative sonic story telling.

Jed
Robbie Williams - Britpop
It's Robbie, i couldn't help myself he's just a hero! ... And let's not forget that this is a record breaking album!

Matthew
Dry Cleaning - Secret Love

They're back with album number 3, what an outstore!
One of my favourite british acts at the moment and if you've not heard this album, you need to check it out!
... And get into the darts!
